The various end time speculations of 2012 never panned out, so it really should not surprise anyone that a replacement theory would now arise in order to sell new hype to people looking for a tribulation that fits their impatient unrealistic schedule. I am talking about the new hype that the blood moons of 2014 and 2015 could fulfill the blood moon talked about by Joel, and Revelation.

Pastor Mark Biltz of Tacoma Washington first came up with the theory and now Pastor John Hagee is running with the ball with his new book, “Four Blood Moons: Something Is About To Change”. Something is always about to change, John. However, if you are in any way implying that these blood moons in 2014 and 2015 have anything to do with the Joel or Revelation prophecy and the earth-shaking events that Jesus also referred to, you are 100 percent wrong. There are now hundreds of other “ministries” that have jumped on this blood moon bandwagon.

I have not read the book, so Hagee may not be saying this is any fulfillment of Joel prophecy, he probably is hedging his bets and speaking out of both sides of his mouth, but I know others are suggesting this. Just do a Google search and you will find them all over the Internet. They are as far off the mark as the Harold Camping’s of the world with endless speculations that try to convince others that the tribulation is upon us and the second coming of Jesus will be fulfilled before 2018.

The usual “Christian” media hucksters are also doing all they can to literally sell this latest hype to gullible Christians. There are always Christians out there willing to buy the next prediction; the main focus of their Christian life seems to be following the neo-Gnostic prognosticators.

I first should explain what the four blood moons that they are talking about are. They are nothing more than lunar eclipses. A lunar eclipse happens when the earth is blocking the light of the sun from being reflected on the moon. Most blood moons do not look red. I have seen several total lunar eclipses but saw nothing that looked red.

Keep in mind, that in a total lunar eclipse anything seen from the moon comes from light being refracted through the earths atmosphere. So what you see depends upon atmospheric conditions on the earth. At moonrise the moon often looks orange or reddish because it is shining through so much atmosphere. This is much the same, although an eclipsed moon would not be as bright as a moonrise. Obviously Joel is not talking about a lunar eclipse any more than he is talking about daily moon rises.

Blood moons can only occur at a time of a full moon when the moon is on the opposite side of the sun. The Jewish calendar is lunar, therefore, blood moons are going to occur around the 15th of a Jewish month because that is when the moon is full on the Jewish calendar.

When blood moons (eclipses) occur in the two equinox months of the year they also must occur on Passover and Sukkot because these two holidays are held on the full moon of the spring and fall equinox month. Therefore, on average, one in six blood moons will occur on either Passover or Sukkot, so it is not a rare event. It also is not unusual to have no blood moons for a few years followed by four blood moon in a two-year period. If you’re interested in why these variances happen read the link below.

This link will give many details about blood moons. And this link will give you even more information why this sequence is not all that significant.  Thirty-seven times in just the 20th century these blood moons occurred on the full moon associated with Passover or Sukkot, so it is not as rare an occurrence as Biltz and Hagee make it out to be. And since blood moons are not rare, it is easy to backdate and find something significant that happened to the Jews around the time of a four sequential moon eclipses that could be viewed from somewhere on earth during Passover and Sukkot. Heck, I know people who can find something significant related to Israel every time we have a major storm in the U.S.

Anyway, blood moons happen often enough in history to make it clear that what was said by Joel and Revelation have nothing to do with these natural reoccurring events. Not only that, you would think that the blood moons that Biltz and Hagee are talking about should at least be visible from Jerusalem in a prophecy given to Israel. However, three out of four of the blood moons that take place in 2014 and 2015 will not even be visible from Israel at all.

Those are the scientific facts, but you really have to rip scripture out of its context and know nothing about the Day of the Lord to think that these 2014 and 2015 eclipses fulfill the prophecy in Joel and Revelation. Pastor Mark Biltz says the second coming of the Lord will occur on Sukkot and he implies 2015. That is impossible. We would have to already be in the 3 1/2 year Day of the Lord and the Jews would have already fled from the Antichrist. Of course, not everyone takes all Bible prophecy literally, some pick and choose only what fits their theory and they ignore or allegorize all the rest.

Let’s look at the scriptures that talk about blood moons:

Joe 2:30  And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.31  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Obviously blood moons do not cause wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke and the sun turning dark. Obviously something more is going on here than just a lunar eclipse.

Rev 6:11  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.12  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;13  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.14  And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.15  And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;16  And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:17  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Again, we see a whole lot more going on here than just an eclipse of the moon. And all this occurs before the Great tribulation or the Day of the Lord even begins.

Jesus gives a parallel passage talking about the same events.

Luk 21:25  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;26  Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

It is clear that this is talking about more than just blood moons. People are going to have heart attacks because of the fear of what they see coming upon the earth. This sounds more like a comet or large body called Wormwood in the Bible rather than any lunar eclipse blood moon. If the earth is influenced by a large body, the gravitational force could set off volcanoes and kick up dust into the atmosphere and this will turn the moon blood-red in color and darken the sun. Every eye will see what is coming upon the earth and small and great will hide in holes in the ground as Revelation says. This is not about people observing lunar eclipses. Most people on earth will not see or care about a lunar eclipse anyway.

In the Trumpet Judgments of Revelation, Wormwood hits the earth. That would account for the great earthquake, earth upheavals, and every island being moved out of its place. In other words, the whole crust of the earth is going to be moved and changed. A Lunar eclipse does not explain any of the catastrophic details given by the prophets or Revelation; it is lunacy to try to tie these natural reoccurring events to any fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

These three passages and a quote of Joel in Acts is all there is in the Bible about blood-red moons. From these passages people are claiming that 4 lunar eclipses that are not even seen in Israel are the fulfillment?? As John Stossel would say, “give me a break”! One might use some common sense here. A sign is not a sign if most people of the world never see it.

Something significant can happen in 2014 or 2015 in Israel, but it won’t be the start of the Day of the Lord. I can look at the situation in the Middle East and surmise that something significant is likely to happen in 2014 and 2015 but I don’t need any lunar speculations to figure that out. I suppose the main players promoting the 2014 and 2015 blood moons will now be seen all over the Christian Speculation Networks for the next two years.

Why do I get the feeling that many Christian are going to be sucked into a great deception. There are people found all over the Internet that claim to have great knowledge of end time prophetic events but they deny any pre-trib Rapture. Some of these now believe that we are already in the first half of the last seven-year period and the Antichrist is some Mahdi in Islam. They think Jesus will come in glory by 2017 or 2018 and they now think we have to physically hold our ground against the Antichrist until Jesus comes. They are ripe to be inducted into a holy war against Islam thinking that they are fighting for God instead of fighting for the pseudo Christian Western world order that will ultimately lead to the real Antichrist.

By 2018, a war against Islam may be fought and won but the real Antichrist could be leading the effort, or perhaps he still will not even be on the scene yet. Will some think the arrival of the Antichrist is the Christ that they are waiting for? With the strange mixing of aberrant theologies held by some of the people doing these prophecy sites and Christian talk circuits, I really do have to wonder.

The Awaiting Red Dragon and the First Christmas.

Long before the first nativity (First Christmas) ever took place it was well known by the god of this world (Gen. 3:14-15, Eph. 2:2-3, Rev. 12:4). Lucifer, - at his fall -ABSOLUTELY COMPREHENDED that he was ETERNALLY doomed. His violent rebellion against Almighty God’s ETERNAL sovereignty and RIGHTEOUSNESS was WELL planned and thought out(Isa. 14:12-15).

I truly believe that when Lucifer was created at the beginning of Almighty God’s creation and was given the chief position in the worship of the TRIUNE GOD that he truly loved and adored his Creator (Ezek. 28:12-15).

The heavenly worship which he conducted in that timeless past was one of majestic praise and glory. He inspired the countless angelic hosts and brought great praise and glory to Almighty God.

But as time went on Lucifer started to subjectively conceive a jealous and envious spirit against the very One whom was his sole object of love and devotion. He began looking at his created beauty and pride and rebellion began to consume him (Ezek. 28:12-15).

As time went on he became more and more consumed with power and finally acted on his godless delusional ambitions and fully crossed over the line of the ETERNAL established RIGHTEOUSNESS and SOVEREIGNTY of Almighty God(Isa, 14:12-15, Ezek. 28:15) into the full manifestation of godless evil and rebellion.

His new totalitarian mindset (the lust for total control) transgressed and undermined all that is Almighty God and His ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS SOVEREIGNTY.

Lucifer then proceeded to seduced and convinced 1/3 of the angelic host to partake in his godless transgression and rebellion against all that is ETERNALLY ABSOLUTE and was cast out of the presence of Almighty God (Rev. 12:4).

He was exiled out of Almighty God’s heavenly kingdom of light and was cast out into the outer darkness of Almighty God's creation.

All the wonder of his CREATED beauty was as a beautifully cut diamond surrounded by a multitude of precious jewels (Ezek. 28:12-15). When he rebelled and abandoned the LIGHT of RIGHTEOUSNESS he became valueless and with out purpose. For WITHOUT the brilliance of HIS Creator’s DIVINE light of RIGHTEOUSNESS the wondrous jewels that he was became worthless and of no value.

What value are the most precious jewels of the world when they are left in the darkness?

As these exiled angelic beings began to exist in the darkness of their minds - which was outside Almighty God’s heavenly kingdom’s realm of light and reality - they became more subjectively godless, evil, lawless and hateful. As their rage and insanity grew to EXPONENTIAL levels they fully abandoned ALL reality and became more aggressive in their war against Almighty God. This demonic aggression would be fully exercised and expressed in the heart of Almighty God’s new physical and tangible creation, the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3).

It was not to long after God’s new creation (Gen. 1) was completed that Lucifer found his opportunity and sought to deceive and destroy Almighty God’s divine representative and ruler over His physical creation, Man (Gen. 2).

It was by the same subtle craftiness and deception which Lucifer applied to the angelic multitudes in the heavenly realm prior to this new creation that he would use on Man (John 8:44). Lucifer went forth in his vindictive vengeance and by his craftiness and subtle questioning deceived and led the woman to commit spiritual suicide (Gen. 3:1-6, 1 Tim. 2:14).

Lucifer knew that by the woman’s weaknesses he could bait and bring down Adam, thus corrupting and destroying Almighty God’s new creation and His sovereign representative (i.e., Man) and rule.

When Adam followed his wife’s transgression and openly disobeyed Almighty God’s commands, he also died spiritually and lost his dominion to Satan who became the ruler of this fallen world (Gen. 3, Rom. 5:12, 17, Luke 4:5-6, Eph. 2:2-3).

In the darkened minds of these fallen beings they truly believed that they had the power to still over through the ETERNAL SOVEREIGNTY of Almighty God and establish Lucifer’s throne above the pinnacle of ETERNITY.

Lucifer had successfully destroyed Almighty God’s sovereign representative and rendered him useless for man’s ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS calling and purpose (Gen. 3:1-7, Rom. 5:12, 17). Lucifer and the fallen angelic host rejoiced greatly at the success of this great demonic coos!

Their revenge was complete… so they thought and their vindictive rage finally appeased. In the darkened minds of these fallen beings they truly believed that they had the power to still over through the ETERNAL SOVEREIGNTY of Almighty God and establish Lucifer’s throne above the pinnacle of ETERNITY (Isa. 14:12-15).

Oh how deceived are those who dwell in darkness and feed on delusion and vanity (Prov. 8:36, Rom. 1:18-32, John 3:19-21)! As time would go on they would personally experience they were ETERNALLY no match for the OMNISCIENCE of Almighty God (Job 5:9, Isa. 40:28, 55:9, Rom. 11:33).

It was at this point in time – at Adam’s fall - that Almighty God revealed His plan of REDEMPTION which was planned from the ENDLESS ETERNAL EONS of ETERNITY PAST (Gen. 3:14-15, 1 Peter 1:19-20, Rev. 13:9).

As Almighty God pronounced the judgment and revealed the consequences that would now follow Adam and Eve and their posterity through out their existence in time, He then revealed His plan for the ETERNAL salvation for man and the final means of the demise of Lucifer and his angelic demonic hosts (Gen. 3:15).

It would be through the Man, - the very one who Lucifer had deceived and murdered spiritually - that the Savior would come (Rom. 5:12-21, 1 Cor. 15:21)! This Offspring of Eve would redeem mankind from their fallen nature, godless transgressions and ETERNAL demise and then would finally assign Lucifer and his angels to the Lake of Fire FOREVER (Matt. 25:41, Rev. 19:11-21, 20:1-3, 10).

What looked like to Lucifer as a victorious coop over Almighty God the ETERNAL KING of GLORY when he murdered Adam and Eve had now become the very means and vessel of Lucifer’s ETERNAL demise and ruin (Rom. 5:6-21, 1 Cor. 15:21, Rev 1:18, 5). It would be by this far lesser creature (Man) than he, that Lucifer would find his final ETERNAL doom (John 1:1-3,14, Rom. 1:3-4, Phil. 2:6-11, Heb. 2:14-18, Rev. 5:5, 20:10).

Since the Garden of Eden it has always been Satan and his demonic host’s sole desire and passion to destroy the line of the Messiah in whatever capacity and means possible (Rev. 12:4). Though Satan FULLY rejects the ETERNAL WORD of Almighty God, he believes what it states and uses Almighty God’s prophetic promises to seek to derail and destroy Almighty God’s prophetic promises from coming to be.

One cannot study and read the Word of God and its righteous testimonies and not see Satan’s hand at work in his perpetual effort to derail Almighty God’s plan and purposes for humanity at every chance (John 8:44, Eph. 6:12, Rev. 12:9).

He MUST... destroy the coming (1st and 2nd) of the Messiah to preserve himself and his host from ETERNAL damnation. He truly believes that it is in his power to over throw Almighty God and His ETERNAL SOVEREIGNTY and become lord  and despot of His creation (physical and spiritual).

As a raging madman, Lucifer was hell bent on destroying Almighty God’s Promised One from being born. It has been since the Garden of Eden that he has been on this perpetual assassination mission and as we shall see, he was present and ready to destroy the babe of Bethlehem 2000 years ago(Rev. 12:4).

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman (Israel) clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold agreat red dragon (Satan), having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars (angels)of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God and to his throne” (Rev. 12:1-5).

You see, Lucifer “the Dragon” was there on that first Christmas night when the Savior of the world was born (Rev. 12:4).

This violent raging Dragon knew exactly who this babe was and he could not afford to let this One who was the promised Savior from the Garden of Eden to exist (Gen. 3). He (the Messiah) had to be annihilated and destroyed.

Yet Almighty God and His ETERNAL SOVEREIGNTY kept this dragon a bay.

There is the account given in Scripture in which we see Satan's hand behind Herod’s violent decree two years later in which he sought to destroy every child in the city of David up to two years old (Matt. 2:12-21).

Lucifer throughout Jesus Messiah’s life sought countless attempts on Jesus’ life – but all to no avail - for it was not His time. Jesus must go to the Cross and fulfill His divine mission of REDEMPTION and nothing - not even the great red Dragon - could stop that from coming to be (Matt. 26:39, John 19:30, Heb. 10:4-14, Rev. 5:5-9).

God’s description of Lucifer as a violent raging dragon is for us to understand just who this horrific monster is. He is our fiercest enemy (2 Cor. 4:4, Heb. 2:14-15, 1 Peter 5:8, Rev. 12:11).

It is his sole desire - as in the Garden of Eden - to keep Almighty God’s creation and mankind doomed and under his tyrannical grasp for his own evil hyper narcissistic means (Heb. 2:14-15). You see, it is Lucifer's sole desire to receive the worship of Almighty God's creation - in heaven above and earth below - and to establish his kingdom of darkness FOREVER (Gen. 11, Isa. 14:12-15, Luke 4:5-6, Eph. 2:2-3,  Rev. 13).

2000 years ago in Bethlehem of Judea a godless world was about its own way, OBLIVIOUS to Almighty God’s wondrous love and OBLIVIOUS to the demonic murderer’s grand intentions to destroy the only hope for mankind's salvation (Isa. 53:6, John 1:10, 3:17-17).

As we enter into another Christmas season, how many people today are also oblivious to the continued raging spiritual war that is in full engagement all around us?

This great war is ever raging for the hearts, souls and minds of mankind and will climax at the Battle of Armageddon (Eph. 2:2-10, 6:12, Rev. 16:13-16).

The Dragon still is EVER seeking to devour, deceive and destroy while Almighty God the ETERNAL Creator is EVER seeking to REDEEM and SAVE (John 3:16-17)! No wonder the multitudes of angelic hosts rejoiced that night 2000 years ago when the Savior of mankind was born (Matt. 1:21, Luke 2:8-14, Rom. 5:17).

Almighty God gloriously fulfilled His promise to mankind in light of Satan’s continual opposition. My friend even now God has protected and kept us from the FULL WRATH of this raging dragon and has given ALL the opportunity to be delivered from this tyrannical monster, our fallen nature and the ETERNAL JUDGMENT of Almighty God on our transgressions against His ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS ABSOLUTES (John 1:12, Acts 16:29-31, Eph. 2:2-10).

The Dragon still is seeking to devour, deceive and destroy while Almighty God the ETERNAL Creator is EVER seeking to redeem and save!

This Christmas season may you be sure that you truly know the Savior that Almighty God has provided for you. Lucifer the raging dragon is still seeking to destroy and devour as he did 2000 years ago on that first Christmas night but Almighty God is also seeking to deliver ALL who come to His promised Savior and Messiah. Oh beloved!

That is truly what Christmas is all about!

Who Will Protect Israel After America’s Fall?

My dear friends, we as a nation and a world are headed into the Day of the Lord at break neck speed! This world at present has fully given themselves over unto the demonic delusion and spirit of Anti Christ that we do NOT need our ETERNAL Creator and are the masters of our own “temporal” destiny (Rom. 1:18-32, 2 Thess. 2:8-12). Tyranny, lawlessness, moral relativism, political correctness and fundamental “religious” fantasies of godlessness dominate and saturate the world; and in the United States of America lawlessness, secularism and socialistic totalitarianism is squeezing its grip ever tighter on the former “Land of the Free”.

Now that America – which was founded on the bedrock of the Bible, moral absolutes and the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God - has fully turned her back on the sound moral and spiritual absolutes of time and ETERNITY and continually rejects correction nothing is now left to hold back the dam of global lawlessness which has been retained by the United States of America for over 200 years.

Once America’s restraining power in the world over the tyrants, thugs and fascist dictators of the world ceases to exist, what nation is there to replace her? The answer is a horrific soberly one. NONE! My dear friends this is where we are as a world today.

America NOW - as a nation - fully embraces godlessness, immorality, secularism, anti Judeo/Christian values, anti-Israeli policies, moral relativism, socialism, lawlessness and narcissistic self ambitions of lawlessness (poor, middle-class and rich).

When Israel is left entirely alone in an godless anti Semitic world, who will then protect her right to exist? My friends it will not be the coming Anti Christ and his deceptive covenant with many which many prophetic scholars believe (Dan. 9:27). My dear friends it will be none other than Moses and Elijah as Almighty God’s Word clearly testifies to (Mal. 4, Rev.11:2-6).

This biblical perspective might sound like a crazy fairy tale to some but it will be, for Almighty God has said that it will be?Moses and Elijah are at the door my friends and the world will soon enough know it (Rev. 11:3-7). My friends all remaining prophetic truths pertaining to Israel and the world will be made known coming up shortly  which billions have scoffed at for ages (Rev. 6-19).  To believe and see the REALITY that I just shared with you one must have complete faith in Almighty God’s precious Word and have exercised themselves in it to clearly see  that these truths will be so (John 17:17, Heb. 11:1,6).

Without faith in Almighty God and His Word one will be doomed and blinded to all the REALITY which is at our very door and will continue to slave of the god of this world and his fallen totalitarian agenda (Isa. 14:12-15, Ezek.28:13-17, 2 Cor. 4:3-4).

My friends, have faith in Almighty God and His Word and see for yourself what is to be!

The Obama administration has just led the international community in pulling the proverbial rug out from under Israel. In putting the finishing touches on my book, Cauldron: Supernatural Implications of the Current Middle East (hopefully to be released between March and April of 2014), I wrote the following in part:

Just as the sanctions against Iran for pursuing development of a nuclear program to produce atomic weaponry was beginning to make an impact, the U.S., in concert with the world powers that constitute the international community, agreed to lift part of those economic sanctions on Iran for six months.The Islamic republic promised to cooperate with the international nuclear observers and to limit its enrichment of uranium.

The Israeli leadership–which wasn’t privy to the behind-the scenes-dealings–wasn’t deceived by the near jubilation displayed by the cabalist diplomats’ actions. The Israelis realize that in Islam, it is not only okay to lie in negotiations with enemies, it’s preferred. Ends justify means, just as in the Marxist playbook for dealing with adversaries. The Obama team was apparently not as immune to the venomous deception as Benjamin Netanyahu and his leadership team.

The Israeli Prime Minister said, “What was reached last night in Geneva is not a historic agreement, it is a historic mistake. Today the world became a much more dangerous place because the most dangerous regime in the world made a significant step in obtaining the most dangerous weapons in the world." Israel’s minister of intelligence, Yuval Steinitz, added that the deal was based on “Iranian deception and international self-delusion.”

Israel, based upon a long history of dealing with treacherous enemies, is skeptical of Iran’s claims that its nuclear program is strictly for peaceful purposes. The Jewish state has threatened a military strike against Iran as a preemptive measure against the acquirement of a nuclear weapon. Luciferic influence, it is obvious to the observer who is biblically attuned to things prophesied for the end of days, rules the minds of those globalists who want peace at any price. The deception is becoming overwhelming, it is clear…

Or, perhaps, the American negotiators in this instance are not as deceived as they are in collusion with the Israeli despisers. It certainly seems that this president has been, at almost every juncture, in opposition to Benjamin Netanyahu’s vision for Israel and his government’s determination to keep the Jewish state secure in these increasingly precipitous times.

Joel Rosenberg, in his blog of Tuesday, November 26, 2013, posted comments by Yossi Klein Halevi, the American-born Israeli author of Like Dreamers: The Story of the Israeli Paratroopers Who Reunited Jerusalem and Divided a Nation. Halevi said in an interview, "If you're going to make a deal, this is the best deal they could make. But there should not have been a deal. The Iranian regime was being cornered. Sanctions might even have brought about the fall of the regime. This is an unthinkable surrender…Obama has created a condition in which Iran will be gradually reaccepted into the international community, and Israel could well find itself a pariah. That's Obama's gift to the Jewish people…I think this deal makes an Israeli strike inevitable."

All of this throws some interesting fodder for thought into the matters involved in the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog-Magog assault. A big question mark has always been part of the puzzle in that attack, assuredly one of the most astounding prophecies for the time immediately preceding Christ’s Second Advent. The question: With Israel’s powerful arsenal of nuclear weapons, and if Iran (Persia) has nuclear weapons at that time, why are none, seemingly, used in the assault? The attack is described as a conventional land war, to my way of thinking. Iran seems to have no "super weapons" that they throw at the tiny nation while they rage with their allies toward Israel’s borders.

God Himself is going to employ the "super weapon." It will destroy all but one-sixth of the invading force, the prophecy tells us. Some believe the reason nuclear weapons aren’t used is that an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) event of some sort will have rendered most sophisticated weaponry useless at that time. The conventional thinking on the matter seems to be that Israel might have destroyed all facilities or at least damaged Iran’s nuclear program enough to prevent its full development.

We can’t know for sure, of course, why this war will be conducted as it is, according to Scripture. Nor are we likely to know this side of the Tribulation, which is the era during which I’m convinced the Gog-Magog assault will take place.

However, it is most interesting to conjecture. Might it eventuate that the Iranian mullahs fool everyone and agree to stop the development of their current nuclear program? Not likely, I agree, but they are known as masters of chessboard chicanery. Their friend Vladimir Putin–that great peacemaker--has proven he wants to exert increasing control over things to the south of his domain. Convincing the ayatollahs to temporarily cool their nuclear reactors for awhile while bigger things are afoot in Russia’s and Iran’s plans for Israel…well, it’s legitimate fodder for consideration.

Apathy Like I’ve Never Seen It Before

RAPTURE READY

Most people who consider themselves to be students of Bible prophecy are familiar with the signs of the times. Some of the most common signs are warfare, earthquakes, floods, immorality or any political activity related to Israel. Of course the Bible warns us that these precursors to the Tribulation hour will increase—as we get closer to the end.

Most people don’t realize that apathy is the greatest indication of the last days. You could almost call it the anti-sign. Jesus talked more about the lack of awareness than any other sign of the times. The Lord was so insistent about getting this point across, He repeated himself four times in the space of a few verses. He also included a story about the ten virgins to illustrate the point of the surprise Rapture.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36).

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (Matthew 24:42).

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 24:44).

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13).

We live in a period that is both exciting and frustrating at the same time. It’s exciting because we know all the warning signs seem to say something big is about to happen. What makes it frustrating is the inability of most people to grasp our close proximity to judgment.

Apathy is a rather sinister thing because it eats away at our ability to comprehend the significance of other birth pang signs. Prophetic discernment is a crucial factor in knowing where we are on God’s timeline. Apathy is the main reason awareness has gone into a stunning free fall. We live in an age when even the most dire, warning signs fail to draw people’s attention.

Just a couple weeks ago we had horrendous typhoon in the Pacific. The storm set a number of records, and is just one of many that have occurred in recent years. As far as prophetic significances goes, I’ve never seen a disaster of this magnitude get so little attention. Years ago, the Haiyan typhoon would inspire people to write books about how it fits into prophecy.

In the past few weeks there have been several stories about the practicality of fitting people with electronic implants. I remember in the 80s and 90s any news story remotely related to the mark of the beast would trigger a wave of wild speculation by a group of people who specialized in the subject. Today not only is the chatter gone, the 666 watchers have also vanished.

I think the main reason why apathy has become so widespread is a historic lack of peril. No other generation has been less removed from dangers like: financial calamity, disease, and global warfare. Even though the potential threats continue to grow, the real danger remains elusive. I think the reason for this state of tranquility is that that we are prophetically in a great calm before the storm. Once the Tribulation hour starts there will be enough judgment for everyone.

The one positive aspect of apathy is that it aids the progression of prophecy. Because people are not watchful, events progress purely from the lack of opposition. I see us rapidly moving to the point where we could witness the global police state that the Word of God predicts. We keep losing our freedoms because the devil has deceived people into thinking they don’t need to worry about their liberties.

The cure of apathy is devotion, and a good way to stay alert is for every Christians to be productive in their spiritual lives. If you are busy about the Lord’s work, the moss of apathy won’t have time to grow on you. Because the Rapture is a clock-stopping event, it is critical that we realize what limited time we have here on earth.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” (2 Peter 3:10-11).

The Peace and Security Rant

Israel, in the opinion of most of us who write, teach, broadcast and pontificate on the last days from the Pre-Trib perspective, is the number one signal that gives indication of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. It is among the very tiniest of countries, yet no nation in history has ever drawn the attention of the whole world, as does that little Jewish state.

Lest you think that is an overreach, I remind that at no time in history has the world had the global, instantaneous news coverage, as has been the case since Israel’s rebirth into modernity in 1948. That fact, alone, has made Israel the focus of interest. Add to the 24/7 coverage of the never-sleeping-media conglomerate today, the petroleum that drives the machinery of the world and the prospects for all-out-war in the region at any moment, and Israel as a focal point becomes all the more riveting.

In my presentations on Bible prophecy, I can’t help but always say something like: “No matter which way the microphones and cameras of the world’s news media turn to catch other issues and events, they always end-up focused again on Israel and upon Jerusalem, in particular. As a matter-of-fact, there are cameras that have the Temple Mount live via satellite at all times, for everyone on the planet to view.

This, in itself, brings to mind the two witnesses scheduled to prophesy and preach to those left behind after the Rapture. These Jewish thorns in the side of Antichrist will make his life and the lives of his regime miserable as they point the prophetic Finger of accusation and warnings at those rebellious earth-dwellers. We are told that everyone on earth will see these two witnesses killed and lying dead in the street in Jerusalem.

“And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them” (Revelation 11:7-12).

Perhaps it will be the very cameras now focused on the Temple Mount 24/7 that will capture this for the initially jubilant, but instantly terrified anti-God rebels of the Tribulation. Just as Israel is the number one signal of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline, I’m convinced that the second most glaring signal is the ongoing Mid-East peace process – The Roadmap to Peace as it is termed.

We have witnessed over the past decades, the many secretaries of state for the United States shuttle back and forth to that most volatile region of the world in search of peace. From Henry Kissinger to Hillary Clinton, to John Kerry, who has now taken the baton as peace emissary for earth’s most powerful nation, the quest never ceases. There is one incessant cry that rings in the ears of everyone who has the ability to receive newscasts by the world’s media. It is the call for peace and security.

Here are a few examples in just the last two presidential administrations:

George W. Bush, Address to the Nation, September 11, 2001: “America and our friends and allies join with all those who want peace and security in the world, and we stand together to win the war against terrorism.”

George W. Bush, Rose Garden Speech on April 4, 2002: “Israel has recognized the goal of a Palestinian state. The outlines of a just settlement are clear: two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side, in peace and security.”

President Vladimir Putin, Joint Statement with President George W. Bush, May 24, 2002. Taking this as their basis: “Russia and the USA intend to exert maximum efforts in order to realize this vision of a negotiated settlement of the conflict, which includes the existence of two states - Israel and Palestine - living in peace and security within recognized borders.”

Meeting between Prime Minister Tony Blair and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. January 28, 2013: “It is up to us to work for peace and security, and no one is more fitting to work on this than you,” he said (Netanyahu). Blair replied, “I look forward to working with you on matters of peace and security. We have many challenges, but I’m sure they can be overcome with good will and hard work.”

Condoleezza Rice, American Jewish Committee’s 96th Annual Meeting, 2002: “On April 4, President Bush articulated a vision of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security.”

Hillary Clinton, November 30, 2012 address in Washington: “America supports the goal of a Palestinian state, living side by side in peace and security with Israel.”

President Barack Obama, Jerusalem International Convention Center, Jerusalem. March 21, 2013: “I’d like to focus on how we -- and when I say “we,” in particular young people -- can work together to make progress in three areas that will define our times -- security, peace and prosperity. ... First, peace is necessary. I believe that. I believe that peace is the only path to true security.”

The apostle Paul, as prophet, wrote the following:

For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

The Greek word for “safety” here is “asphaleia.” It is a feminine noun meaning: security from enemies and dangers, safety.

In the preceding verse Paul had just foretold of the moment when the time of the Tribulation would begin breaking on a world ripe for God’s judgment.

“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5: 2).

The rant we hear most prolifically today, with regard to the nation Israel, the city of Jerusalem, and the ongoing peace process in the Middle East is, “Peace and security.” I could have added hundreds more such quotes.

Listen during the upcoming days for this cry from the diplomats of the world who will not have the God of Heaven rule over them (Read Psalms chapter 2 again.) It is a rant that pinpoints precisely just how near is the thief in the night moment that Paul forewarned─the Rapture.
